No more than 1000 tickets sold. 2. All tickets are eligible for All prizes starting with the 14th prize and working towards the 1st prize. 3. One application for each ticket. Photo copies are acceptable. 4. Ticket will be mailed to person in charge of the ticket. 5. Monthly drawings of $100.00 to be drawn the first Monday of the month and ticket eligible for all prizes. 6. Labor Day
Traditionally, the Labor Day weekend holds a special place with our department as we use it for our primary fundraising activities. With most of the activities concentrated at the Austin Park Pavilion (also known as Old Allyn Arena, on the corner of Austin Street and Jordan Street), this weekend sees traditional firefighter contests such as pushball and sink-the-boat (the latter being the only competition on the north end of Skaneateles Lake, along Genesee Street).
Labor Day festivities also include live music both nights, carnival rides, food and games. The weekend concludes with the ever-popular parade in the afternoon and fireworks at night over Austin Park, a sign that the summer season has ended. Thank you to everyone who sponsored, participated, and took part in our Labor Day this year!
Donation Letters
The Skaneateles Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. sends out donation letter requests to various areas of the community. This is meant as a reminder to community members that the Department, by way of its non-profit corporation, purchases apparatus and other equipment primarily through donations and not through a direct tax. Donations, however, are always appreciated any day of the year!
Vehicle Donations
If you have an old car or truck that you are willing to donate, please contact the Skaneateles Fire Department. Your donation is tax deductible for the "book value" of the car or truck.
